Richard Bates's comment on 2020-12-05 11:35:46:

Most people even today are not free and they certainly were not in those days. In fact they are constantly in some kind of bondage about money, sex, various fears, death in particular and relationships with others. A sad and classic case was Howard Hughes who was very rich and an attractive man and yet our adversary got a hold of him and proceeded to turn him into a social cripple; further phobias were successively added by our enemy which wrecked his health and finally killed him. All this could have been avoided if he had known our Lord Jesus Christ because the bondages which I mention above all become irrelevant once we really know Him.

It is a pity for those who do not know Him, because, He is the truth that can set us free from physical problems, spiritual problems, marital problems, principalities and powers, all manners of sickness, etc.

john dalton's comment on 2014-09-03 01:50:40:

It is the Truth shall make you free, not set you free. Once you know the truth the bonds and the thoughts of others no longer mater. You are made free and their hold no longer applies and this includes the bonds and chains of Satan. He can destroy your body but your soul is free.

Are you saved?'s comment on 2013-12-30 09:39:54:

Truly a misquoted verse used by many people. The truth shall "make"you free. The one word "make" has a strong meaning, and when changed makes a huge impact . Instead of "make" it is stated "set". When something is set that means it is able to return back to where it came from, when you are made/make you are transformed, made a new. You don't have the ability to return to what you were. Once Christians see the importance of the word "make", they will see that God has equipped them with every tools necessary to live on this Earth in order to be a strong witness. The same "make" is used toward Abraham when God promised to make him a great nation and make his name great. God didn't set him a great nation or set his name great.
Christians have been "made free", Romans 8:1-2. It is important to cultivate wisely the God given talents and spirit He has already given when you
accepted Him. Romans 8:13-17.
Not only was God's plan to "make" people free, but to make Christians perfect, in order to bring Him glory. Christians CAN have the same testimony as Christ did on Earth, because He is Christ in them, Hebrews 13:20-21 Colossians 1:10-11.
"If the Son therefore shall make you free, he shall be free indeed." John 8:36

And you shall know the TRUTH (the name of the Lord) and the truth we are lead into through our hearts if we Believe in TRUTH. For Life so loved the world that Life gave Life's One and Only, TRUTH, that whomsoever believeth in TRUTH would not perish but have Everlasting Life.

From the king james bible it means that yes to the true believer in Jesus Christ and Him crucified and most importantly His accordinly to His will that His truth shall make us free ok so make in His word means not by force but by spritaul growth by growing in the likeness of His son Jesus Christ the lamb of God..
