At a certain juncture Jehu was approached, told he would do things for The Lord, thinking that a good thing (to go out and wipe out people), taking the 'command,' evidently not really a command [for the Lord, Jehu, brought retribution for those acts (took it as The Lord's desire, not his to run on and do it, evidently. I believe the way to understand this passage, particularly, "every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgement thou shalt condemn", is that all who would stand against Israel accusing her will not prevail, as her heritage in God & performing the Will of God, will be a witness of condemnation to their false witness. This should have been Israel's experience & joy, yet as we know, they failed miserably, often departing from serving God to the worship of idols.
And for the Christian, we have a similar Scripture in the NT: Romans 8:31-34, "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us."
Man may raise many accusations against us, but we are not to retaliate in anger or judgement, because it is Almighty God Who is on our side, & Who fights our battles for us. It doesn't matter what man sees or thinks of us - what matters is how God looks at us - & He always sees us through the Gift of His Son & His Sacrifice. We are children of the King: what can man ever think or do to us without God's Knowledge or intervention?

I went through a really verbally and physically abusive marriage and after I had to flee for my own sanity, his family also turned against me with verbal assaults. The Lord gave me this scripture three times the same week I left. Vengeance is the Lord 's and he will deal with them in his own way and time. I need to trust that He will fight my battles and that any harm or evil Satan intended to use against me will not prosper or succeed because God is my fortress and my rock and will not allow the evil to prevail in my life. amen
