It says that God made the moon but it does not say it is its' own light source, but we know that the moon is a reflection of the sun and whether or not you think that God should have mentioned that is up to you as we have that freedom; however; I don't think that he needed to mention it as He even knew we would discover it.

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

15And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

16And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

17And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

18And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

19And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

I would think so as

16And

God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

So that would be the sun to rule the day; and the moon to rule the night created on the 4th day and he made the stars also

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

I find that amazing that the heaven and the earth was created from the beginning even before light; And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

5And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

The Heaven and earth were created on the first day along with light. I mean it is amazing that would be created on the first day; but when I think about it; if I was God; that is what I would have done as that to me seems the natural order of things when there is a God. At what other point could you have created Heaven. Surely it would not be an after thought; and yet thinking like a man; I have read that so many times and just considered it natural without thinking about it; but lately I did and i thought so wonderful and even a proof of his existence if indeed someone was looking for such proof. I just love reading it as it sounds wonderful. Genesis 1 and 2; I think is my favourites; as I am not much of a reader and all those generations confuses me; although I do like other parts of Genesis, the flood; cities that were destroyed, confusing the language etc.

To me this means the moon is its own light source. Any feedback?

Magnificent translation, although we miss the power to translate it ourselves. It seems to be better as if we do not. Luckily, there it is one.
