Ras, the Hebrew word for 'Earth' is 'ha.'a.retz'. And this is translated as earth or land, so it can mean 'dry land' as you mentioned, or can even apply to this planet where the same word is used for it. But no Scripture gives any proof that the Earth is 'flat-ish'. I would be interested if you can provide me one.

Hi Bob.

Peace.

Thank you for reading and your input. Much appreciated! The limited available space to write in is at least helping me to be more concise. Thanks!

Mike that is very well written. I know we are limited to how much we can write on this forum and thought that I would add this to those wonderful thoughts you posted.

Revelation 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. a beast rise up out of the sea

Revelation Chapter 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many WATERS waters:

14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him [are] called, and chosen, and faithful.

15 And he saith unto me, The WATERS waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

The WATERS waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

Genesis 1:10 KJV(10) And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

God called the "dry" land Earth as the meek shall inherit the earth. The dry, meek heart shall be dried of the waters of strife as they will humbly hear the opening up of His mouth that will teach us. He will open up the Scriptures to our hearing ears and we are to take heed on how we hear for we shall be given more.

Matthew 5:2 KJV

(2) And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

Happy are the meek for they shall inherit the Earth as they shall hear HIs teaching humbly. The "dry" heart shall be dried of all evil and evil speaking....the waters of strife. God called the dry land "Earth" for the meek shall inherit the earth.

Matthew 5:5 KJV

(5) Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

But the gathering of the waters are people who will resist what they hear and don't understand as the "raging waves of the sea" foaming out their own shame as they speak a multiple amount/superfluity of evil words in their envy and strife. The wicked shall not understand Him as the "blackness of darkness" is reserved for them.

Jude 1:13 KJV

(13) Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

The wicked are like the troubled sea when it cannot rest whose waters cast up mire and dirt (as they will speak multiple evil words in their contention of His teaching). There is no peace to the wicked.

Isaiah 57:18-21 KJV

(18) I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.

(19) I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.

(20) But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.

(21) There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

Genesis:1-10 I take it as "The Mightiness of our Lord" It gives us the background of how everything was created out of nothing.
