The Spirit filled life is the Spirit filling you with the life of Christ. Revival accesses the Eternal Life as the Abundant Life Jesus. Revival restores you to the life of Jesus as the animating power to your personality. Cr. John Van Gelderen Revival Focus

The Bible extolls self control for the believer, after all we are Gods representatives. Drunkeness leads to, and shows, a lack of self control. His Word also warns us against excesses in our lives, and drunkeness is certainly the result of an excess. Whether a Christian can drink wine isn 't the point here, if it were we would simply read "Do not drink wine ". It is a warning not to be entrapped, but to be controlled only by the Holy Spirit.

Wine in itself is not bad, but taken in excess can lead to bad behaviour, like roiting, debauchery, use of bad language, etc.Afterall it is used during Mass. Being drunk in the in the Spirit benefits one with the fruits and gifts of the spirit which are peace, love ,joy, patience, etc.
