As a "chaste virgin to Christ " Paul feared that the Corinthians would revert back to their former ways before they came into the knowledge of the truth. Prior to that time, they have been deceived just as Eve was!

I don't understand the simplicity in the bible. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. BUT a single minded man only sees from one side and misses the other side. We were instructed to love The Lord with all our hearts and souls so we wouldn't follow after other Gods. Jesus comes along and we are now partakers of his death. So now comes our spirit and the spirit world. It's appointed unto man to die ONCE and the second death-your physical death you are now in judgement.
