No, Jason. You cannot marry a woman whose lawful husband lives. You will be commiting adultery if you do.

Luke 16:18

It does not pertain to women to teach in a church meeting. They are to keep silence.

William Dando's comment on 2021-04-08 13:47:28:

Dogs are in context of Philippians 3:2 those who oppose salvation by any other doctrine that teaches works of the flesh and not faith alone in the finished work of The Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesse's comment on 2021-03-24 13:18:09:

Jason,

I don't know of any place in scripture that keeps a woman from preaching. I think both men and women are free to preach the gospel message.

However, even though a woman is free to preach all she wants, she is not allowed to be in a position of authority over the men in the church. In other words, she is not allowed to pastor a church where she would be placed in a position of authority over the men.

Therefore, she cannot teach. A pastor must be both a preacher and a teacher. I would have to take some time in the scripture to give you a more detailed answer but would be more than happy to do so if you wish. If you just want some verses, I can give you those. But if you want an explanation, I would need a little more time.

As for marrying a divorced lady, that is debatable, but not able to answer without knowing the circumstances of her divorce, and I'm not going to ask.

Easter is the pagan festival known as Ishtar, in homage to the fertility goddess Ishtar. The bunny & eggs represent fertility. None of these things have anything to do with Christianity or the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Earl Bowman's comment on 2021-03-23 17:44:01:

Dolly, may the Spirit grace you with HIS wisdom And HIS understanding.

Matthew 15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came.....

Matthew 15:26 But he answered and said, it is not meet (fit) to take the children's bread, and cast it to the dogs.

The Canaanites were gentiles and the children were Jews. Jesus is saying that the kingdom of heaven (CHRIST IN YOU) was to be offered to the Jews first. The DOGS make reference to the gentiles. Now the Jews rejected the kingdom of heaven (CHRIST IN YOU) and (vs 27) was a prophecy out of her mouth that ultimately the gentiles would be give the kingdom of heaven (CHRIST IN YOU).

Matthew 15:27 But she said, Truth, Lord, yet the dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their MASTERS

table.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs.....

Now this verse is saying that dogs (gentiles; who ARE NOT of the kingdom of heaven; CHRIST IN YOU) will compass about the Holy City. This Holy City is made up of the (kingdom of heaven; CHRIST IN YOU) saints, living now in physical bodies; but upon the death of their physical bodies they will be given glorified bodies. We are compassed about with NON-BELIEVERS. (DOGS)

1 John 3:2 Behold now are we the Sons of God, and it doeth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

Why can't a woman preach and give me strong verses that day they can't.

Can I marry a lady that is divorced from her husband

Dolly Anderson's comment on 2021-03-23 15:06:45:

"When the Bible refers to dogs as in Revelation 22, is it referring to them literally - saying they won't be in heaven?

What does the ''Egg'' and ''Bunny" signify for Easter?

William Dando's comment on 2021-03-22 08:31:34:

Damien, if you are lost it is because you have fallen into satan's trap question. Hath God said? God's words have been preserved for us. He did this for us in the English language at the appointed time in this dispensation through the KJB. Other translations later using the wisdom of men and copyrighted for money create doubt about what God said and are the work of Satan. Believe God first and he will give you understanding.

Andy G van den Berg's comment on 2020-09-19 10:46:18:

To ADAM

He that committeth sin of the devil; for the devil (your natural spirit) sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God, doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God (1:3:8,9).

The following is an excerpt from the Article 'What is Sin of the book 'A World Deceived'.

'Sin is not just an act such as prostitution , alcoholism, adultery or a drug addiction, as the spirit of this world has made you believe but is the fruit of every man, woman and child (Romans 3:9; Gal. 3:22).

For the purpose of this article and to give mankind a better understanding of the title of this article, we would like to add the words 'abortion' and 'homosexuality' as another act.

Sin is often referred to in the Bible in the same context as Satan, and his servants are therefore also described as the servants of sin (John 8:34). Sin is the natural state a person is born in and his/her whole being is sinful. It is the fruit of the natural body.

As such, every person is separated from the true and living God and under the power of Satan. Religion or any form of Baptism does not change that and is a form of self-transformation of the natural body. This is how Satan has transformed himself into an angel of light (2 Cor. 11:14).

He also informed them that they were not of God (John 8:43-47). Remember now that they truly thought that they knew God and that they worshipped him in truth, but when He dwelt amongst them they crucified Him, as they could not believe His message of repentance (1 Cor. 2:14) and did not like it that He convinced them that they were sinners and that they lived under the power of sin (Satan).

Seek, and ye shall find 9Matthew 7:7)

In His Seed.

I don't know what other translations you are talking about but you got the right one' KJV. You should read about how the KJV came about.

Mishael's comment on 2020-09-19 00:04:24:

If you used the Search Box on this website, which is all in King James Version, you would see what it says.

Go have a look. Consider getting a KJV Bible. I have 8 of them because I have notes scribbled all over them. Sometimes you just need to get a new one.

Damien's comment on 2020-09-18 14:27:55:

Hello, the KJV and NKJV has 1 John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

Other bible translations left that out.

So, which translation is correct??? I'm lost...REALLY LOST!

Brothers and Sisters in OUR SAVIOR AND LORD JESUS CHRIST.The BIBLICAL CANON WAS solidified in THE EARLY CENTURIES. THE COUNCILS OF TRENT AND NICAEA. Not until CONSTANTINE IN THE 300'S WAS THE TRINITY SOLIDIFIED and made doctrine. NO VERSES have been added or TAKEN OUT SINCE THEN. THIS IS JUST ANOTHER ATTACK ON CHRIST'S DEITY. They did not take out ALL THINGS WERE CREATED "BY " HIM "CHRIST. THEY JUST CHANGED IT TO "THROUGH" HIM .JUST READ THE CLOSING STATEMENTS OF REVELATION. I DO NOT think I would change much after the CANON. YOUR BROTHER IN CHRIST ,john

I still see so many differences on the question as to who is the father of Jesus. If he was born in in the same manner as everyone else. The virgin Mary by being the mother by immaculete conception issue still leaves the question open.

Julian's comment on 2015-08-03 23:45:07:

The Holy Trinity is in the very centre of our Christian faith. In this verse, we learn that there is one God "these three are one" , in three divine persons "the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost" . The Father, who sends His only-begotten Son to the world for our salvation. The Word cf. St. John 1:1 : that is, the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who is truly God and truly man. He took upon himself the human flesh, so that in the flesh He might suffer for us the cruel death on the Cross, by which we are saved. The Holy Ghost, who is the giver of life, and proceeds from the Father and the Son. This is a great mystery of our faith, that we can meditate upon day after day.

John's comment on 2015-03-25 09:45:29:

1 John 5:7 as it appears in the KJV and the NKJV referring to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and also as it appears in the other versions, without reference to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, does not alter the fact that Jesus told his disciples to baptise people in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit the triune God . Similarly , it does not alter the statements made by Jesus concerning the fact that He and the Father are one, and, for example, that he who has seen the Son has seen the Father. Furthermore, the prophecy in Isaiah referers to Jesus as Emmanuel, or "God with us. " Also, in Genesis, for example, God is quoted as referring to Himself as "Us. " There are many other Biblical references that pass the test of God being God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, without necessarily using the word "trinity. " It would be wise therefore, not to dare to cause believers to doubt the truth about the triune God, and not lead those searching for the truth astray.
