I believe it speaks of the worlds system that seeks to dominate and rule apart from acknowledging God as Soverign and his law the 10 commandments as supreme. The tower of Babel was an example of the world and it that sort of "world " exists today in the form of all human governments that seek to rule us without any thought of what God says.

Love not the world (in which we live) neither the things that are in the world ( money, houses, clothes, cars, jewelry, any device made good or evil or the pleasures of this world. If (is a condition) any man love the world the love of the Father is not in him. We cannot love God and mammon there must be a choice made either or. Things that we watch and Do effect Us the things that we Spend more time with If its not God then that is our God! Yes that includes Facebook Phones video Games ....
