To understand corinthians 15 29 let us start on John 5 24 which say Verily, verily, I say unto you, that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that have heard shall live. 28 Wonder not at this, for an hour is coming in which all who are in the tombs shall hear his voice. Now let us look corinthians 15 29 many people died without knowing the holly spirit but they were promised to receive it. so for their resurrection they must receive their promise. question is how and where would they receive the holy spirit? answer is that every soul is having its blood line meaning blood line on earth equals to blood line in spirit ie. Moses was promised to enter Israel through his descendants. these takes us to a point that if people die without receiving the spirit, surely they will receive it through their descendants if they accept the living apostle and being baptized with the holy spirit. thanks Monaledi Twelve apostles church in christ

there are many guesses as the the meaning of this verse, but no matte which version in the above listing, there can be only one meaning clearly represented, and that is that there were baptisms for the dead at the time of paul

as it is written that Jesus Christ taught the disciples many great things of which were never written due the fact that there would be no place to keep them if they were volume so are the mysteries of God given to those whom he deems his elect in these the last days

I am a member of Old Apostolic Church we also belive inthe sence of a baptizem that is talk about the people who are passed away long ago, aspecial those people who where doing good things. Our leaders when we ask them about this meaning they said was the vision cames from GOD, that those family members that died befor accepting the word of GOD are the ones that are baptized for by those ones are live.
