This verse truly shows that God is wise, impartial and just It amazes me how Christians seek to battle for placement as the smartest and most knowledgeable. When this is done with a haughty spirit, it does no one any good; simply shows a lack of immaturity and turns more people away from the Gospel than to it. This is where pride can be a relentless force in a Christian's life that it needs to be repented of and brought into submission. Some can easily discern this type of Christian. On the other hand we Christians are to be meek, humble and thankful for the gift God gave us in His Son, who came to earth in the flesh as an innocent baby of lowly estate. This is an indication for humility, severally in the scriptures we see people whom ordinarily the world would look down on, has been major instrument for change, we see the prostitute at jericho who safed her entire family, gideon a weakling who became a mighty man of valor, so i think in our society we should teach more of NEVER underestimate people and ofcourse God who makes and rule things for his Glory.

Yet, we are all limited by our human weaknesses of intellect; and remember, we as Christians are not inspired. Saved Christians do have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us which helps our understanding of scripture to rightly divide the word of truth, but the unsaved do not have that. Whether we are fundamental or liberal or anywhere in between, from one issue to another we could very well be categorized as either the "foolish" or the "wise" in this world and the time we live in. The most educated preacher or university professor can be simultaneously categorized as the "foolish" in this world by God and as the "wise" in this world. Do not flatter yourself to think that you are perfect in all reasoning. We could be right and be wrong in many areas of our understanding and/or application of scripture, yet God in His omniscience uses His Word to accomplish His work. Both preachers and professors should be more humble to admit their cognitive weaknesses, likewise should church members and students. Pray to grow in grace and seek His face, believer, as the process of sanctification in God's timing conforms us little by little into the image of Christ, and remember we won't be like Him until we see Him as He is...i.e. in eternity, not here in this world.

Because of Satan's pride. He blinds the mind to be strong, successful, and independent. But if found to be weak, then also a failure, condemnable, and worthless. But God's wisdom is to choose the weak and rejected to display his power. Showing that only God can, and that his divine nature is greater. His glory then can reach those blinded by pride.
